The fun part about my success is that I've done it on my terms in all the ways I wasn't "allowed to". I curse, I do things at 30% instead of waiting for it to be perfect, and I take up space, and... I'm proud of myself without winning awards or hitting standard milestones others wait for. My "rebellion" feels like just another Tuesday because I'm not doing this any other way than my own. The good news? It's worked well so far. Now I hope I can inspire you too.

The moment I stopped caring what everyone thought was when I started really living.
I used to have a chip on my shoulder that felt like a mountain. I had to RiSe from the AsHeS, and have unbelievably massive success, and designer clothes, and first class tickets to Paris, and the wealthy cultured boyfriend and blablablabla.
And then guess what? I got it! All of it. My 11 year career in the fashion industry allowed me to work for major brands like Prada or Oscar de la Renta or Rebecca Minkoff or Sam Edelman. I had a closet of designer items (that I didn't pay for as a perk of the job) and was traveling to Europe frequently for work, in an (on again off again) 7-year relationship with someone who felt like a partner.
The cliche, I found, was true. When you get everything you want, you realize none of it really mattered. Thank God for therapy because ya girl put in some work to realize what I was actually searching for. And then I built a new career out of that passion...for me. I found peace, and safety, and joy - and in simple ways that changed my life. Now, I'm committed to having a silly time, see what I can get away with in business, and make memories with the people who matter to me.
I prefer chaotic.
